Denyce is a healer and teacher who supports people to create the lives they truly want. A Registered Polarity
Practitioner and Registered Polarity Educator, she has been studying metaphysics, vibrational medicine, trauma
release, and the healing  arts for over 20 years.  Her unique approach to healing is multi-dimensional, creative, and
draws from a wealth of techniques, including energy and body work, counseling, prenatal and birth trauma resolution,
Continuum Movement, Moving Theater, and meditation. Denyce holds her healing practice in Redondo Beach and
teaches in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Our staff and instructors are dedicated to providing an environment conducive to learning.  Class sizes are kept
small to allow for personal one-on-one time when necessary to ensure student comprehension.  
Emily Cohen, a recent addition to our CalCopa family has more than a decade of management, education and training experience.
 She is a thirteen-year veteran of a Fortune 500 hotel company and during that time period held positions as Training Manager,
Regional Sales Manager and Operations Manager.  She has performed additional hotel work as a Specialized Systems
Consultant and Systems Training Consultant.  Her other experience includes being a certified CPR and First Aid Instructor for the
American Red Cross and SAT Math tutor for college-bound teenagers.

Her organizational skills and management experience are a definite asset to our institution and she plans to join our faculty as a
certified instructor in the near future.

Michelle M. Mangano, BA, NCBTMB, ABMP - Associate Director, Dean of Teachers                                   
With over 15 years of corporate experience, Michelle relies on her vast background to ensure a quality operation.  She has been
involved in all business aspects from Human Resources, Training & Development, Customer Service and Operations.  Both
she and Emily Cohen focus on running the school with a high level of Customer Service, while maintaining a family run
environment.  As the Dean of Teachers, Michelle stresses the importance of skills development and the ability to become a
valuable employee, or the knowledge to work as a successful Independent Contractor.

Her teaching philosophy has always been; "make sure the students have the skills and knowledge required, but have fun
during the learning process."

Celina Sahagún, NCBTMB, ABMP - Senior Instructor; Core Classes and Electives                                       
Celina graduated from CalCopa as a Holistic Health Practitioner.  She is currently working towards her Bachelor’s Degree
in Psychology.  She has her own private practice to maintain her massage therapy skills.

Celina loves teaching using techniques for visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning.  Her goal is to have students leave
her classes prepared for the next level of education.  Ultimately, she hopes our students leave CalCopa with the
confidence and knowledge to pass the National Certification exam, or any city tests required for licensing; all this to help
students fulfill their personal career goals.  In addition to teaching both full-time and part-time classes, Celina helps out in
the office whenever necessary.

Jannah is a Holistic Health Practitioner and is an alumnus from CalCopa.  Her education and certification consists of
training in various techniques of massage and body/energy work.   She has been working in the field at various spas as
well as independently.  Her goal is to assist others physically, mentally, and spiritually by incorporating and sharing the
skills and experience that she has acquired.  Being passionate in nature, she possesses a delicate discernment of
compassion and empathy for others, and gains a sense of self-gratification in assisting others manifest awareness
and healing within their own mind, body and spirit.  She strives to create a fun environment and present students with
fundamentals of the subject, real world examples, and to offer a forum for discussing options to deal with these issues
and why.

Rhonda has been attuning Reiki Practitioners for several years.  In addition to her successful Costa Mesa business
as a healer using nutrition and balancing, she completed two degrees; a B.H.S. in Health Sciences and Nutrition
and a Bachelors of Metaphysical Sciences.  She brings her vast knowledge and healing abilities to CalCopa as our
Reiki Master and Nutrition Specialist.

Rhonda Donahue,Reiki Master - Reiki Instructor                                                                             
Grant is a CalCopa alumni who continues to grow as a Holistic Health Practitioner.  After taking Thai classes
at CalCopa, he went to Thailand to further his knowledge in the art of Thai Massage.  He brings this
knowledge back to the school to pass on to our students for a more complete knowledge of Thai Massage.

Dea began a career as a massage therapist at the ripe old age of 53.  Already self-employed, she had an accident
which resulted in several visits to a chiropractor and a massage therapist.  With much encouragement from her
Massage Therapist, Michael Levi, Ph.D, she began a new career.  At his urging, she started classes in 1991 and
has never looked back.  She's been happily self-employed as a massage therapist and massage instructor for
nearly fifteen years and looks forward to many more years helping others through treatment and as a teacher.

Carri was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, she started her training in Lomi Lomi when she was 11 years old, she studied
with her Auntie.  Carri is also a CalCopa alumna and has taught massage courses at CalCopa and various
other schools for about sixteen years. She teaches our Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage and Crystal Drum Healing
Classes. She has a successful massage private practice in Northern California and is building a place in the woods
to have nature and massage retreats.

John has been working as a Massage Therapist since 2003 at a variety of locations including Burk-Williams Day Spa at the
Block of Orange,
Consumer Chiropractic and West Coast Sports In Costa Mesa.  His specialties are Therapeutic and Deep
Tissue Massage.  John's enthusiasm about Massage Therapy made him a natural to teach our Massage Technician
course.  Never one to rest on his accomplishments, John is partnering with one of the Chiropractors to open his own
business,
OC Chiro & Claribody Works.

In John's spare time he enjoys painting, photography, writing music and travel.  According to John, "Massage Therapy has
given me the time to do and enjoy these things in life."  He quotes:  "Don't think about the money.  Be the best at what you
do in Massage Therapy and Healing.  The money will come later."

Scotty is a Massage Practitioner and proud graduate of CalCopa.  His path to massage came after fifteen
years experience as a professional bike mechanic and an elite racer. He saw how important bodywork is
for the Elite Athletes since "their bodies are the engines not their bikes."  He has since joined forces with
many athletes and teams to help keep them in fined tuned shape; which has taken him all over the country.

With his passion for massage and bodywork, Scotty is an instructor and assistant at CalCopa.  He feels
that "proper body mechanics, table height, and breathing technique are essential to a long lasting career".   
In his spare time, Scotty shows no sign of slowing down. He is sponsored by Hammer Nutrition and races
road and mountain bikes. When off the bike, he can be seen playing the bass, classical guitar, or even the
bagpipe chanter.

About Our Staff and Instructors
Jennifer Ervin, LMT, ABMP - Instructor; Core Classes and Electives                                               
Jennifer graduated from CalCopa with over 720 hours of study under her belt.  She went on to work at the Four
Seasons Hotel
in Newport Beach (Now the The Island Hotel) as a massage therapist.  At the same time, she opened
her own massage business and worked at
Total Body Care both in Costa Mesa.  She had to take some time away
from massage in 2005 for a high risk pregnancy (but both she and her daughter are doing fine).  She is happy to be
back massaging again on her own.  Jennifer loves teaching the beginning classes to eager new massage therapists
here at her massage alma mater.
